Dear Hatton colleagues
The leaders in Rotary share a responsibility to shore up the resources that transform our members’ ideas into meaningful, sustainable projects. In our global organization, individual giving preferences and the culture of philanthropy vary widely, so how we ask for donations does, too. Mentioning our own gifts to The Rotary Foundation is one way to inspire others to give.
Earlier this Rotary year, we sent you a video about supporting our Foundation’s Annual Fund. In addition to giving to the Annual Fund and PolioPlus Fund, we encourage you to highlight the importance of gifts to our Endowment. These contributions protect the long-term sustainability of Rotary’s programs, building a lasting legacy. Your leadership is essential to helping us achieve our goal of having US$2.025 billion in our Endowment by 2025.
Many people around the world celebrate holidays around the end of the calendar year, and it’s also a popular time to make charitable contributions. Please consider enhancing your next Foundation speech or presentation by mentioning your own gift to the Endowment. Remind members that giving is easy and that they can donate online or give by mail.
Together, we can inspire members to engage with our Foundation during Rotary Foundation Month. We can lead by example and emphasize the impact their support makes, spurring meaningful contributions to the Endowment that will allow Rotary to continue its vital work.
Thank you for your leadership, service, and dedication to Doing Good in the World.
Sincerely,
Stephanie A. Urchick |
