Members of the Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Lincoln branches of the British Polio Fellowship formed a team to take part in the Rotary District 1070 Disability Games held in Lincoln on Sunday 24th April 2022. The team was sponsored and supported by Wellingborough Hatton.
Over 100 competitors, divided into adult and junior classes, took part in a variety of sports including wheelchair slaloms, boccia, kurling, darts, archery, table tennis, swimming and basketball hoops. Whilst the competition was taken seriously there was a very strong element of fun throughout the day and the smiles spoke volumes.
President John joined the team and helpers to mark the final sessions. There were no individual award winners but at least one runner up and medals were awarded to every competitor.
