An Update On The Successful Transition Of Council Housing Stock to Wellingborough Homes

At the end of the previous Labour Government, Wellingborough Council were given an ultimatum by the Labour Government to spend ridiculous amounts of money on Council Houses, OR sell off the Council House stock to what is now known as Wellingborough Homes, whereby the Government would provide special grants to Wellingborough Homes to bring them up to their required standard.

Needless to say the then Government would NOT provide those same grants to Councils ONLY to Housing Associations
