HYDROTHERAPY IS BACK

Members of the Northamptonshire Branch of the British Polio Fellowship, all suffering from the debilitating effects of Post-Polio Syndrome, returned to the hydrotherapy pool following a long break for the Covid pandemic and then a change of ownership and refurbishment of the pool facilities at the Moulton Leisure Centre. The weekly exercise sessions restarted earlier in the year. The programme is part funded by a grant from the Rotary Foundation and Wellingborough Hatton Rotary Club. Hatton members and their partners support the session by moving wheelchairs between changing rooms and pool. Additional hands-on help has come from the Northampton club. Each session  comprises of 30 minutes of exercise supervised by hydrotherapist Kirsten Good and seeks to improve mobility whilst enjoying the company of others with similar disabilities.
